Handymate’s Longspan Shelving Range
Most longspan layouts are planned in modular bays. A common planning method is to count 1 bay as 2m wide, then build your shelving system by bay count. We usually recommend 4-5 bays as a small warehouse area and light commercial storage, 6-8 bays as busy storage workshops with a stock area and 9-10 bays as a large warehouse with multiple loading areas.
Height, Depths, Duty Options
Height: We provide three kinds of height options, including 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.4m.
Depths: We provide only 0.5m and 0.6m options which are the most popular ones.
Duty: Choose light duty or heavy duty longspan shelving based on your needs.

How to Choose the Right Longspan Shelving
Measure your space
Measure your selected wall length and ceiling height and remember to leave enough access clearance for people.
Choose depth based on your largest regular item
0.5m depth suits most regular mixed workshop storage and 0.6m depth is better for higher density storage.
Pick the right duty rating
Estimate the heaviest loading requirement per shelf and per bay, then choose a configuration with at least 10% buffer. Our heavy duty model provides a maximum of 1000kg per bay capacity while the light duty model only provides 600kg.
Plan shelving ahead
If your stock changes very often, keep flexibility in shelf planning. You can always add extra shelves later once you see how your storage pattern settles.
